Hyundai announces next year’s models
Hyundai is gaining a lot of respect around the car industry as a serious competitor that is capable of beating out many bigger named brands such as Honda and Toyota. For 2011, Hyundai is going to take on the midsize market with an updated Sonata and enter into the world of ultra luxury sedans with the Equus.
Hyundai has already proven it is more than capable of producing a quality luxury sedan with the Genesis Sedan. Now the Hyundai Equus looks to build off what Genesis started. The Equus is both wider and longer than the Genesis. Also the Equus should have a 420-horsepower V8 engine by the time it goes on sale here in the U.S. Buyers can expect to see a very classy, streamlined exterior and a quality interior as well on the Equus. More details are slated to be released about this exciting upcoming car very soon. The starting price is estimated to be below $60,000 and will be available soon.
The 2011 Hyundai Sonata is an all around winner. With a variety of fuel-efficient engine options and a nice looking exterior, the Sonata’s purpose is clearly to compete with mainstays such as the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry. The Sonata is equipped with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with 198 horsepower coupled to either a 6-speed manual/auto transmission. Also, a more powerful turbocharged 2.0-liter engine is going to be available later, as well as a hybrid version. The 2011 Hyundai Sonata is available now and starts at $19,195.
